Discovering Our Experiences is a product of the parent blog Bilingual Frontera, an active site with news and commentary about the borderlands in the Americas. The blog features topics and themes related to language, culture, social justice, discrimination, racism, education, and history. The unique location of the United States, México, and Central America generates a plethora of dialogue resonating with multi-dimensions of a society in the process of transformation.
In addition to Discovering Our Experiences, Bilingual Frontera includes two other sites. MUJERES, FRONTERAS Y SUS HISTORIAS – WOMEN, BORDERS AND THEIR STORIES, launched in 2016 and now archived, includes excerpts from the book, In the Shadow of the Half Moon: Stories of Central American Women in Search of a New Life. YELLOW PAPAYA, also an archived blog, is about language, culture, and literature.
